How speech is developed among hearing impaired persons?

Answer:
They place their hands on the throat of somebody that speaks clearly, feel the vibration, and then feel their own neck and try to emulate the vibration. It's a long difficult process.
Speech therapy -- reading lips, listening for certain sounds, phonetics. Young people have a better chance in developing speech skills in early childhood than adults because adults haven't been adapted to sounds and/or vibrations. Why is this in the diabetes section?
